Description

A Silkmoth that I raised from a worm ^^

A silkmoth emerges from a silk cocoon that it spun itself made out of almost a mile of a silk strand. It will live for only 5 days only for mating purposes. It doesn't need to eat and it cannot fly due to the species evolution in captivity.

I believe it's wings are a bit bent from being inside the cocoon. It just came out this morning.

Wow, never knew the domesticated ones were flightless. Probably stands to reason though, if domestic birds don't fly, why should the insects?

Delicate is right. This little creature looks like a tiny figurine. Very lovely little moth, great photo of it.
